Low GWP (A2L) Refrigerant Training & Certification

HLI will be utilizing the ESCO Institute Low GWP Training Material and Administering the A2L Certification test following the training. This course covers: General flammable refrigerant safety knowledge, core ACR knowledge, flammable system service safety, flammable system installation safety, flammable refrigerant transportation and handling safety. This training is offered in-person only and is a one (1) day training.

TARGET AUDIENCE: Any individual engaging in the installation, maintenance, service, repair, or disposal of HVAC equipment utilizing A2L refrigerants.

CERTIFICATION: Certification will be awarded by ESCO upon Completion of Exam with Satisfactory Score.

REQUIRED MATERIALS: Attendees must bring a laptop or tablet with internet capability. A limited number of HLI laptops are available upon request. Please indicate on your registration form if you will need to borrow one.

PREREQUISITE: None

ENROLLMENT FEE: Training fee covers the Low GWP Refrigerant Safety reference guide & Exam Cost

    • Existing Havtech Customer - $100 per attendee
    • Not a Current Havtech Customer - $250 per attendee

Follow these steps if you're registering multiple people at one time for the same training date:

  • Click on the preferred training date above
  • In the “email address” field, enter the first attendee’s email address
    • If you or another supervisor want to be copied on the confirmation and reminder emails to the attendees, please enter your email address in the “secondary email” field on the next page
  • Select Registrant Type
  • Enter your "Havtech Customer Account Number" - if you don't know it, you may skip this field as it's optional
  • Hit the “Continue” button to continue entering first attendee’s general information (name, phone, etc)
  • After entering the first attendee’s general information, you will be taken to a page that says “Add Another Person” where you will be able to add additional attendees for the same training date if you have any other employees to register for the training
  • After registration is completed, you will be emailed a payment request to pay for this training from our payment portal (Handle). Payment must be received by Havtech in advance of the training start date in order to attend the training. Payment may be  made by credit card or debit card or ACH bank transfer through our payment portal. If you do not see the payment request in your inbox within 2 business days of completing the registration form, please check your spam folder.
